[ 13. You open the door and immediately pitch forward and fall through it. There is no floor here. There are no ceilings. There are no walls. You are floating aimlessly in the void with far-off constellations twinkling all around you. You feel as though you are everywhere and nowhere, all at once. Occasionally, you see the space around you shift - the sky ripples or pulls apart, as if the very fabric of the universe is being manipulated. After an indeterminate amount of time, you hear a low chuckle, and suddenly find yourself collapsed on the ground in the hall, disoriented. Only four minutes have passed.

but mikazuki will step through the door, fall through, and - he laughs? oh he just laughs]

Ha ha ha, oh dear.

[ Meanwhile: ]

—Waugh!

[ He falls! But... never hits ground? They're just floating. ]

[they really are just floating - and mikazuki rearranges himself neatly so that even as they float, he seems to be kneeling calmly. how. why.]

Fufu... Perhaps we have gone to space?

[ He tries to turn to get himself upright. ]

[ Alphinaud can be found sitting in a lobby chair, mind completely lost in thought. ]

mikazuki will begin to walk past, walk back to where he just came from, and then come back. he deposits a to-go drink container by alphinaud and waits to see if he notices]

[ Give him a moment, but eventually Alphinaud blinks, lifting his head. ]

—Oh. ... Forgive me, my focus is elsewhere, it seems.

[unsaid]

Naturally so.

[mikazuki smiles faintly before going to take a seat beside him. he also has a to-go cup in his hands]

But I have brought tea to share, should you be in need of any.

[the only one who ever needs tea is you, jiji]

[ Oh, that's not true. Alphinaud also always needs tea, which he happily accepts, wrapping his hands around the cup. ]
