Eh? Surely we couldn't have gotten into all that much trouble. [Said in the gremlin way of a gremlin who always gets into trouble and knows it.] Ah, but now your biscuit-making makes a lot of sense... It's always easy to bribe someone with a very big sweet tooth with sweets.
[ Alphinaud watched you eagerly jump into both of those brawls, Souji, he knows your brand of gremlin now. ]
Oh—yes, though that was genuinely meant as an apology... but those ginger snaps are her favorite. I remember as children how often our grandfather would sneak her some behind our parents back, as well.
Of course - you do seem to be the sort to do things with sincerity. It's one of the things that I find most admirable about you. [GOTTA GET HIS COMPLIMENTS OUT NOW WHILE HE CAN except neither of them get picked by The Claw so he can continue to gush over sweet Alphinaud all he wants until they inevitably perish...]
How sweet, though... I'm sure she was very grateful for it!
[YEAH. Suffer!! also thanks i love this and Souji also finds it very cute.]
Ah! So that's what you've been working on. [Souji does like practically live in the kitchen, after all, so he sure would have noticed.] What do you think? Has it gotten any easier? Have you found any good recipes?
'Tis been a fine way to pass the time—and the results are something others can enjoy, as well. It is still challenging, but I have found it becomes a little easier each time.
As with all things! [Or most, at least... Most things become easier with time.......] I'm glad that you've found it enjoyable, though. Will you let me try something you've baked someday?

After getting settled, he'll pour Alphinaud a cup!]
I've heard that honey is a soothing ingredient to add, so I tried some of that with this. I hope that it's to your tastes.

You've not had honey with your tea? I tend to prefer it over sugar, myself.

[The blend itself is something citrusy and floral, with those sweet honey notes blended in.]

Now that, my friend, is a shame. Rarely do I ever take my tea without at least a little!

It seems I've been missing out! Though I'll admit, it doesn't taste as good with the greens and barleys that I'm used to in my home teas...

[He has a massive sweet tooth though so his opinion on sugar is not valid.]

[ he says this a lot like he's familiar with this line of reasoning ]

Who else do you know who'd fall into this "you types with a sweet tooth" category?

She has a good sense for the right foods to be enjoying, then! You can't get anything better than a good dessert.

[They would both be terrors together, probably.]

Hah, certainly not. But I don't think I could trust you two alone!

Oh. ... Thank you.
[ he says, a little sheepishly ]
I've gotten a little better since then, I think. I've been baking more lately...
[ which I say Souji has likely handwavily noticed, me nodding. ]
