Good question. There must be some way of blocking abilities or the like, I’m not sure if they can literally change a person’s physical make up or any biological needs.
Regardless, 'tis been proven time and time again now why such capabilities should never be at one's hand. To think it could have practical means, and this is what it is used for...

A lot of things about these places are inexplicable. Powers, abilities being sealed, all the items we would’ve had on us gone.
