It surprised me too, but … there were plenty of points for it. One month, Flayn even—

[ there’s a brief pause. ] She liked fish, so she came up with a tournament that everyone participated in. There was a lot of fish for dinner that even, so I imagine she was rather pleased.

I had not realized you were friends from home. [ ... ] 'Tis hardly a bad hobby, of course. I have never fished myself, however.

Classmates, technically. We weren’t braiding hair and sharing secrets, but she was always pleasant enough to be around.

Maybe we’ll find a lake somewhere in this hotel and everyone can have a fishing tournament there too.

That would be pleasant, I think. Not that I would be any good at it, most likely, but it would be something to do.

It’s pretty relaxing. I wouldn’t say I’m fishing savant or anything, but you do get a nice peaceful time out of it. And lunch, if you’re lucky.
